What he speaks?
I never understand what Icon of Sin says! I was so curious! Do anyone here have some idea?

i have no idea he's way to hard to understand it will take someone with really good ears to understand him

To be honest, the sound is reverted. He speaks: "To win the game, ????, ?????" The rest of the phrase I don't know.

I thought he said: "You will die and then ??????" (?????? = I don't now yet) But I could be wrong.

"To win the game you must kill me and ???? ??? carefull." That's what I can hear.

Hmmm...never paid much attention to what he says...I just blow his @$$ up. He's spent all game sending his minions to try to kill me, so the last thing I usually want to do is have a nice pleasant chat with him/it. Of course, he could be telling me the winning lotto numbers, which I've hastily ignored every time, and I now have only myself to blame for perpetual poverty (I live in a cardboard box with this PC I found in a dumpster...it's plugged into the back of a 7/11 store because I can't afford my own electricity).

Found it! I used my doom editor, exported the sound and reversed it. He says: "To Win The Game You Must Kill Me, John Romaro!" I might have spelled Romaro wrong, but that is what he says! EDIT: Here is the wav. Get it here.

It took me so long to figure out how to beat that level!!! :sui:; The funny thing is that I'd sometimes use noclip to cheat, but never even realized that the text at the end of the game tells you exactly how to beat the level. For the longest time, I kept trying to shoot the guys brain as you're going up that platform for fun; but never EVER thought about using the rocket launcher! Trying to hit that tiny area at the right moment when going up the platform with the BFG 9000 (and avoiding getting killed or knocked off by some enemy) takes alot of skill... let me tell you. :( :twisted: He's spent all game sending his minions to try to kill me, so the last thing I usually want to do is have a nice pleasant chat with him/it. That brings an interesting question...is it possible to kill "Romero" with anything but the launcher? I mean does he take damage if you use something else? I've clipped inside where you can see him, but never thought to try to attack him with a different weapon.

I think you can. I cliped in and took out a nice shotgun and killed him. But I think that when on the platform to kill him you need a rocket, because they positioned him so only splash damage can hurt him if it goes through the brain.

The last that I remember of playing Doom, you could shoot through objects as you can with Wolfenstein, though I don't know if my memory is clouded or not. If that is the case, you should be able to shoot through to Romero, though if you think of how many rocket splashes it takes to kill him, you can only imagine the number of long range shotgun blasts required as well, and what accuracy you would need. Imagine trying to plant a BFG blast in that brain - what a pain! I hate that boss anyway, too hard and no time to experiment much.
