Catacombs
Catacombs is an excellent game. Don't know if they have it for PC (I have a Mac), but it is a remake of a game called Gauntlet for those of you who recognize that game. I *think* Gauntlet is for the PC, you will have to find out for yourself. Anyway, Catacombs is simply a remake of Gauntlet that is basically the same, only with better graphics and modified to work on more advanced machines (my computer was too advanced for Gauntlet so Gauntlet wouldn't run, but with Catacombs it did). It's this game from a bird's eye view where you have to go through these dungeons fighting all sorts of these monsters. You get to go as a Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard or an Elf, all of which have their own attributes. You go around destroying enemies and their generators, collecting things and trying to get the highest score, all the while scrambling for survival. Very simple and mindless, but very fun, and like all other video games (despite what a part of the vast majority says) is productive. I even broke a joystick playing this game, it requires an awful lot of quick reflexes. Now I go insane and piss my pants bashing the keyboard and going to CompUSA at LEAST 2 times a day just to purchase a new joystick. Unfortunately, my small amount of income that is my weekly allowance of $5 (which I often forget to ask my parents for, doh) won't be able to keep up here, so now I'm just going to have to settle for screwing up my keyboard. I cant' help it, this game is addicting. Quite the rocket fuel for adrenaline. What's also great is that it comes with a dungeon editor, with which I could make extremely devious dungeons. I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT FOR DOWNLOAD. Catacombs probably doesn't come for the PC (I'm not sure), but you should be able to download Gauntlet off of the internet. Do a google search, perhaps. Just felt like sharing my passion for such an addiction. Tetris, the most addicting game ever made? Let the consensus believe rule how we see things? What is this, high school?

Looks like it had a PC version as well: http://www.mobygames.com/game/versions/gameId,16300/ If that's the same game. I enjoyed Gauntlet when I was younger. EDIT: Apple II - http://apple2.mobygames.com/game/sheet/p,31/gameId,16300/ DOS - http://www.mobygames.com/game/sheet/p,2/gameId,16300/

Wierd that there is no way to to download from these rating sites, even a paying version of the program. I'm all about visual info, which there is none of here.
